Liquid brine is a highly effective, cost-effective, and environmentally friendly tool for winter road maintenance.
Anti-icing (Pre-treatment): Brine is sprayed on pavement surfaces before a storm to prevent snow and ice from bonding to the road, making subsequent snow removal easier. This proactive approach uses significantly less salt than traditional de-icing methods.
De-icing/Pre-wetting: During a storm, brine is sprayed onto rock salt as it is being applied to activate the salt and help it stay on the road surface rather than bouncing off.
Black Ice Prevention: Brine application can prevent the formation of dangerous black ice.
Calcium Chloride Flakes melt large volumes of snow and ice fast. Melts down -25 degrees F. Will not harm plants or sidewalks.77-83% purity. Flake melts ice quick but does not have the penetration of a pellet.
